Ride Vermont Cover Shot Challenge

Ever wanted to get your picture on the cover of a major snowboarding outlet? Here’s your chance!

Mark Zuckerberg has done it again. Another wave of Facebook updates are here and now it’s time for Ride Vermont to adopt the Timeline. We thought, “why not use this as a chance to give away some lift tickets to a loyal fan of Vermont snowboarding?”

Enter, the Ride Vermont Cover Shot Challenge!

If you’ve visited Ride Vermont on Facebook lately, you’ve probably noticed things are looking a little different. That’s where you come in.

We want to see your best photo that represents all that’s great about shredding in Vermont. The winning picture will become the new Ride Vermont “cover photo” on Facebook and win two FREE lift tickets for some spring riding in the Green Mountains.

Think you’ve got a shot? Email your picture to ridevrmnt@gmail.com with “Cover Photo” in the subject line. Pictures must be hi-res (please no crappy pictures from your phone) and preferably larger than 860 pixels wide.

Entries must be sent in by Friday, March 9. A winning image will debut on the Facebook page Monday, March 12.

Course Set. Riders Ready. Forecast Snowy. Dew Tour Prep Update 1/18/12

It’s nearly time ladies and gents. The final countdown has begun and Dew Tour Killington is just a day away. We’ll admit we were pretty skeptical with the ability of Killington and Snow Park Technologies to build a 22-foot Superpipe and three-story booters in the Slopestyle course out of the seriously pitiful snowfall we’ve had. But we should have known better. We’re stoked and amazed at their snow wizardry and the final outcome. Props.

The weekend is going to be a busy one. If you’ve never been to a mountain during a major media event, just imagine the scene during Christmas weekend and multiply it by 10 or so. It’s going to be a straight up mad house, but that’s why we love it and you can bet your freezing bums we’ll be there representin’.

In fact, we’ll be providing constant updates and standings info as the rider progress through the semi-final and final rounds of competition. Stay connected with us on Facebook and join the conversation with hundreds of fellow spectators on twitter.

It even seems the weather may be good, 'magine that. Image courtesy of NOAA.

If you’re watching from home whilst icing some shred-related injury (the only excuse we’ll consider) then stay glued to the Killington Superpipe web cam. Who know’s maybe you’ll see us up there high-fiving Danny Davis or Louie Vito.

Here’s the schedule in case you’ve missed it on one of the millions of other sites talking about the Dew Tour. See you at Bear Mountain.
